About Brandy
I grew up in a US Navy family and lived in a lot of places before settling as a teenager with my family in the metro-area of Atlanta, GA.

I did college and grad school in Atlanta, before meeting my husband, David, and moving with him to his hometown of Knoxville, TN. And after a lot of moving in my younger life, I am very happy to have Knoxville as my home.

I work as a mental health counselor, clinical supervisor, and practice manager for the counseling clinic that David and I own together.

I have a deep passion for chocolate, particularly for the ethical sourcing of cacao and raising awareness on issues of slave-labor in the industry, but with a focus on highlighting chocolate companies that make chocolate with these human ethics in mind. For those looking for ethical brands and resources, see my Instagram page at GraceOverChocalate

About David
I enjoy playing a lot roles in my personal life these days. I get to be Brandy's husband, an uncle, a son, a brother, a friend, but most of all I want to choose (however imperfectly and inconsistently) to be a servant and witness to the enteral kingdom that I believe is both here and not yet.
And professionally, I have the privilege to work as a family therapist & mental health counselor, a teacher, business owner, employer, and at times a paid raconteur.
Writing, music, and poetry have been a part of my life, and want more space for those things in my future. I am also told that my bartending skills are better than average.
